Empty mountains after a fresh rain; the weather brings the feeling of autumn in the evening.
Bright moonlight shines through the pine trees; a clear spring flows over the stones.
The noise in the bamboo grove comes from the returning washerwomen; the lotus leaves stir as the fishing boats head downstream.
Let the spring flowers wither as they will (for the autumn scenery is still beautiful); the wanderer (or recluse) can naturally stay here.
A jug of wine among the flowers; drinking alone without anyone close by.
Raising my cup, I invite the bright moon; facing my shadow, we become three people.
Since the moon does not understand how to drink, the shadow merely follows my body.
Temporarily accompanied by the moon and my shadow, one must make merry while it is spring.
I sing, and the moon paces back and forth; I dance, and my shadow scatters in chaos.
When awake, we share our joy; after getting drunk, we each go our separate ways.
Forever pledging a journey beyond worldly ties, we promise to meet in the distant Milky Way.
Flowers close to the high tower sadden the traveler's heart; I ascend this tower while all directions are beset by many disasters.
The spring colors of the Jin River come to heaven and earth; the floating clouds over Mount Yulei have constantly changed from ancient times to the present.
The northern court remains unchanged like the North Star; let the bandits of the western mountains (the Tubo/Tibetan forces) not invade us.
It is pitiful that the Latter Lord (Liu Shan) still has a memorial temple to be worshipped at; at dusk, I merely chant the "Song of Liangfu".
